Hello, lovelies!

I’m Shameka Chanel—proud founder, brand ambassador, and your down-to-earth guide on this journey to holistic wellness and self-discovery. I’m so thrilled to welcome you to the Humanized Woman Blog, a space crafted with care, intention, and a sprinkle of magic for women like you who are ready to embrace their full selves.

Who We Are

Humanized Woman is more than just a blog; it’s a movement. It’s a heartfelt commitment to empowering women to connect with their minds, bodies, and spirits in meaningful ways. We explore everything from navigating life’s daily challenges to uncovering hidden gems of self-awareness, embracing the mind-body connection, and growing through intentional practices that support a secure identity and self-love. At the heart of this platform is holistic wellness, a belief that our healing and growth should encompass every part of us: emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual. Whether you’re new to this concept or a wellness warrior, there’s something here for you.

Meet Shameka Chanel

Let’s get personal for a moment—because I’m not just the founder; I’m also walking this journey with you. I see myself as dynamic, a lover of love and humanity, a creative soul who pours her heart into everything she does. I’m a mother, a divorcee, and unapologetically a spiritual baddie with boho flair. These facets of my identity have shaped how I approach life and healing, and I embrace them fully. As a certified somatic clinician and licensed professional counselor supervisor, my passion lies in whole self-healing. My experiences, including growing up with a sibling battling medical challenges, have deepened my empathy and drive to help others reconnect with themselves and create meaningful lives. I’ve poured my heart into creating spaces like Points of Origin Counseling Support & Education Center, Nova Luna Coach, Humanized Movement, and programs like the iNNitiative Program, which sponsors mental health support for those in need, and the iNNivators Program, which connects allies committed to making an impact through intentional action. Now, Humanized Woman is the natural extension of these efforts—a vibrant hub where community, clarity, and connection meet.
